Youth Art Show!

The Academy is holding a Summer Art Show for youth artists, at the Watson Gallery in the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center in Old Wethersfield, August 2-7.

Submission Guideline
Youth Artists must complete and submit the entry form by July 30, 2025

Accepted painting and drawing media include sculpture, oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, pastel, graphite, charcoal, scratchboard, pen and ink, and pencil.

Prints (including giclées), kits, and AI generated artworks are ineligible. Using a print as an underpainting is also prohibited.

Artists are encouraged to submit their best work(s). Youth artists can submit up to three entries. Each artist will have at least one work selected for the show.

Selected entries must be delivered to the Watson Gallery on August 1. Painting and drawings must be attached to a hard surface such as cardboard or a canvas panel. Frame is strongly preferred.

Image files should be high resolution (at least 300 ppi) jpegs, or be in pdf. format. Artists retain all copyrights to submitted images and represented artwork.  By entering the Art Show, artists selected to exhibit grant Wethersfield Academy for the Arts the rights to use the selected image(s) on social media, our website, and in printed materials for promotional purposes.

All submissions require artist’s name, title of the work, size, and medium.
