About The Artist
Veronique Fournier-Wynne, a Connecticut portrait artist, hails from northern France, where her family was deeply involved in the arts. Her grandmother painted in the style of Monet, and her mother introduced her to museums like the Louvre, where she fell in love with Jacques Louis David.
With a Bachelor’s in Graphic Design, Veronique worked as a graphic designer before embracing classical realism in 2016 at W.A.F.T.A. She excels in portrait, still life, and oil painting, using the Bargue method and Munsell color theory, and has won first prizes in regional shows.
Now an instructor at the Wethersfield Academy, Veronique is a member of the Connecticut Women Artists (CWA), the International Guild of Realism (IGOR), and the American Artist Professional League (AAPL).
