About W.A.F.T.A.
Wethersfield Academy for the Arts is a nonprofit educational organization, created by Doug and Virginia Buck and located at the Old Buck Farm on Hartford Avenue in Historic Old Wethersfield. The Academy embraces several art disciplines where students, working directly with professional artists, are guided and encouraged to develop their unique gifts and talents. W.A.F.T.A. is a 501 (c) 3 organization.
At W.A.F.T.A. we strive to provide opportunities in art classes, workshops, and art lectures for the novice through the professional to benefit from study, apprenticeship, exhibition and performance, and to promote the arts in the best classical tradition for enjoyment and inspiration. We have three studio spaces, each with wonderful lighting whether day or night.

Our studios offer a nurturing space for artists of all skill levels to explore and develop their creativity, allowing them to thrive and grow in their artistic journey.
